The Dingles

The Dingles community was registered in 2003 as a response to a need for further places for children aged between 5 and 18 on admission and has fully developed its own individuality and special character.

In recognising that each child has their individual needs, we seek to carry out assessments that identify the most suitable form of therapy whilst considering the child's current stage of development, their views and wishes and those of their families and the referring authority. Therefore each child or young person will have their own unique program of support. This includes Lifestory work, direct work, therapeutic play work and age appropriate independence work which is planned individually for each child or young person. Our team work hard to provide our young people with unconditional care and appropriate incentive and reward systems to assist them in working through difficulties and emotions safely and within set boundaries.

We are a strong, committed and creative staff team and we strive to improve the circumstances of our children and young people and to ensure success for them in the future.

The Dingles is a beautifully modernised house that provides a safe environment for up to three children. The Dingles is situated in the South of Reading close to all amenities.
