Training
Training is given the utmost priority by staff and management within our service. We provide induction and foundation training in line with Skills for Care and The Children’s Workforce Development Council for trainee/new staff as well as training on theory underpinning our work. All staff are required to train for the Foundation degree in Therapeutic Childcare and more senior staff are trained in Level 4 management NVQ and the RMA through to the BA in social work and MA in Therapeutic Childcare. We support more experienced/senior staff through NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People and NVQ Level 4 in Management through to the MRCC and the BA in Social Work. We currently have eight A1 assessors within the foundation.
Through our links with Bracknell College and PACT FE we provide assessment and training for all NVQ’s including the A1 Assessor’s award. We also provide student placements for Brunel and Reading Universities under the guidance of in house qualified practice teachers. All CSFC staff follow an individual Qualifications Pathway plan and Personal Development Plan and we are completely committed to the development of the individual staff member in all aspects of their personal and professional development. We actively encourage staff to investigate training opportunities within the wider community and fund appropriate courses. We act as lead partner for NVQ South East Region and hold the Investors in People Award.

"I was impressed with The Dingles efforts to understand L’s complex needs and behavioural difficulties and provide him with a safe and consistent environment at the most difficult of times."
