Yew Tree Cottage

Neighbouring Yew Tree Cottage provides a supported living option for young people preparing to leave care, who have already acquired some life skills but require additional input and support to prepare them for full independence. These may include issues such as budgeting, carrying out household tasks, meal preparation, liaising with professionals, accessing housing, improving employability, etc. A dedicated and creative staff team are on hand to offer appropriate advice and guidance, based on assessed needs, to enable the individual young person to gain or improve existing practical skills and promote confidence in their abilities to live independently when the time comes to live in the wider community.

Yew Tree is staffed every night and for certain hours during the day. However, young people have emergency access to staff should they need it.
